Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting qubit platforms
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships for quantum computing initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithm development or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with expertise in high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated ability to work with cryogenic quantum systems or photonic processors
- Strong track record of securing NSF/DOE quantum computing grants
