Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error correction protocols to enhance quantum processor stability and scalability
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge quantum software and physical qubit systems
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and hybrid quantum-classical computing
- Publish peer-reviewed papers and present findings at premier quantum computing conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development for quantum innovations
- Stay current with emerging quantum technologies through continuous learning and industry engagement
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit design
- Strong foundation in quantum mechanics, linear algebra, and complex systems theory
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information science
- Experience with quantum simulation tools and cloud quantum computing platforms
