Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography, optimization, and AI
- Lead experimental validation of quantum processors in cryogenic environments
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Author breakthrough research papers for premier journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-functional innovation
- Secure $1M+ in quantum computing research grants
- Partner with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into scalable solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Track record of securing government or industry research funding
