Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols on fault-tolerant hardware
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for enterprise applications
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patents in top-tier journals
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research funding
- Present findings at premier international conferences (QIP, APS March Meeting)
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Quil)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in machine learning and classical optimization
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and control electronics
- Validated track record of translating research into commercial prototypes
