Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Lead research publications in top-tier quantum computing conferences and journals
- Translate theoretical models into practical implementations using quantum programming frameworks
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure federal and industry grants for quantum computing initiatives

Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publication record in quantum computing or theoretical physics
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and information theory
- Experience with quantum hardware interfaces (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Proven ability to communicate complex quantum concepts to non-technical stakeholders
