Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols to extend qubit coherence times
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, Physical Review X)
- Secure government and private research grants
- Present breakthroughs at industry conferences (Q2B, IEEE Quantum Week)
- Mentor PhD interns from Stanford and MIT
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and QIS frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published work in quantum error correction or algorithm development
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills with HPC experience
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap qubit systems
- Proven ability to secure research funding (>$1M preferred)
- Clearance for DoD/NSF projects (or ability to obtain)
