Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead prototyping of quantum hardware systems at cryogenic temperatures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with AI teams on hybrid quantum-classical workflows
- Secure $500K+ in annual research grants
- Mentor postdoctoral fellows in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2024)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Experience with quantum hardware (IBM Q, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra and computational complexity
- Track record of translating theoretical models into experimental results
- Preferred: Experience with quantum machine learning applications
