Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum systems using superconducting and photonic platforms
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation across quantum software and hardware teams
- Secure federal and private research funding through compelling grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithm development (QAOA, VQE, quantum machine learning)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and computational complexity theory
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex research projects and publish peer-reviewed papers
