Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop novel quantum error-correction protocols using topological qubits
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy benchmarks
- Collaborate with hardware team on 1000+ qubit system integration
- Publish 2-4 peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $1M+ in government and industry research grants
- Mentor PhD researchers on quantum machine learning applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization
- Published research in Nature/Science/Physical Review X
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants (NSF/DOE)
- Strong background in condensed matter physics or quantum information theory
