Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits using superconducting qubit platforms
- Collaborate with hardware teams to improve qubit coherence times and gate fidelities
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at premier conferences
- Secure federal grants and corporate partnerships for advanced research initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent top-tier journals
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding from NSF, DOE, or DARPA
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
