Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in drug discovery and financial modeling
- Lead research on quantum error correction techniques to achieve fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum processor architectures
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants through NSF and DoD partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates and lead cross-functional project teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years quantum research experience
- Proven track record publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error mitigation strategies
- Strong background in machine learning and classical-quantum hybrid systems
- Experience securing government research grants and managing large-scale projects
