Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation techniques for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in quantum hardware-software co-design
- Publish research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships for quantum initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and PhD candidates
- Present findings at international quantum conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published work in quantum error correction or algorithm optimization
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and computational theory
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum processors
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding ($500K+)
