Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world problem domains
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuits for error correction
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and leading conferences
- Lead cross-functional projects with industry partners to commercialize quantum solutions
- Mentor junior researchers and drive lab's technical roadmap for 2026 milestones
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Proficiency in Python/C++ and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
- Strong track record of interdisciplinary collaboration
