Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-corrected quantum systems operating at 99.9% fidelity
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum processors with classical computing infrastructure
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from government and industry partners
- Advise Fortune 500 clients on quantum computing adoption strategies
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with quantum hardware (superconducting, trapped ion, photonic)
- Published record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants (NSF, DARPA, DOE)
- Experience mentoring postdoctoral researchers
