Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for NP-hard optimization problems
- Lead error-correction research for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Partner with industry leaders to prototype quantum-resistant cryptography
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum machine learning frameworks
- Secure $2M+ in NSF/DARPA grants for 2026 quantum initiatives
- Author 3+ peer-reviewed publications annually
- Design scalable quantum architectures for commercial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics/Computer Science with 5+ years R&D
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in Qiskit/Cirq and quantum circuit optimization
- Track record of securing federal research grants
- Experience with dilution refrigerators and cryogenic systems
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy thresholds
- Strong background in condensed matter physics
- Patents in quantum algorithms or hardware design preferred
