Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Design and implement error correction protocols for scalable quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to enhance qubit coherence and gate fidelity
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI specialists to hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and industry conferences
- Secure intellectual property through patents and trade secrets
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
