Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to translate algorithms into quantum circuits
- Lead research projects with $500K+ budgets and publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers/year
- Mentor PhD interns from top-tier universities
- Secure government grants (NSF, DARPA) and corporate partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Expertise in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Proficiency with high-performance computing frameworks (HPC, MPI)
- Strong track record of securing research funding
- Experience mentoring graduate researchers
