Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead research on quantum error correction techniques for fault-tolerant systems targeting 2026 deployment
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for enterprise solutions
- Secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants from government and industry partners
- Mentor PhD researchers and drive technical strategy for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm development and complexity analysis
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum computing platforms
