Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography and machine learning
- Optimize quantum error correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing hybrid quantum-classical computing solutions
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- Proven ability to secure government research funding
