Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications in cryptography, optimization, and machine learning
- Lead breakthrough research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Develop novel quantum hardware interfaces and integration protocols
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Secure multi-million dollar research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Architect quantum cloud platforms for enterprise clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of quantum research
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, Science, Physical Review X)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quipper, Qiskit) and simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement, superposition, and decoherence principles
- Proven track record of translating theoretical models into experimental prototypes
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
