Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors using superconducting qubits
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives targeting 2026 quantum computing milestones
- Publish findings in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in research grants from government/private institutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in top-tier journals (minimum 5 peer-reviewed papers)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and Qiskit/Quil programming frameworks
- Proficiency with cryogenic systems and microwave control electronics
- Track record of securing federal research grants (NSF/DARPA preferred)
- Strong background in quantum error correction and topological qubits
- Experience mentoring PhD candidates and leading research teams
