Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Design error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams integrating quantum-classical hybrid solutions
- Secure patents and publish in Nature/Science journals
- Advise C-suite on quantum strategy implementation roadmaps
- Teach quarterly quantum computing workshops to engineering teams
- Manage $2M+ research budgets and vendor partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years quantum computing research with 100+ qubit systems
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and Quil programming frameworks
- Published record in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Experience with quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Security clearance or ability to obtain (for DARPA projects)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
