Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using 100+ qubit systems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with product teams to commercialize quantum breakthroughs
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature Physics/Science journals
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $2M+ in annual government and industry research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum annealing or superconducting qubits
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical models into experimental setups
- Expertise in quantum error correction and decoherence mitigation
- Security clearance eligibility for government research partnerships
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters
