Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experiments on quantum error correction protocols using superconducting qubits
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise applications
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation projects
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum gate operations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Published work in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or photonic computing platforms
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants (NSF/DOE preferred)
- Knowledge of topological quantum computing or quantum machine learning
