Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical enterprise applications
- Lead experiments on 50+ qubit systems to achieve fault-tolerant quantum supremacy
- Collaborate with hardware teams to mitigate decoherence in superconducting qubits
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for machine learning acceleration
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $1M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubit manipulation
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization tools
- Published research in Nature Physics/Quantum or top-tier conference proceedings
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and topological qubits
- Expertise in Python/C++ for quantum simulation development
- Experience with low-temperature quantum hardware environments
- Track record of translating theoretical models into experimental prototypes
