Responsibilities
- Design and prototype quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit implementations
- Lead research publications in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Translate theoretical models into practical quantum applications
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure external funding through NSF grants and industry partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and linear algebra
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills and high-performance computing knowledge
