Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for error correction and optimization
- Lead research on quantum machine learning applications for 2026 industry needs
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish peer-reviewed papers and present findings at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Develop patentable quantum encryption protocols for enterprise clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
