Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with industry partners to prototype quantum solutions for finance, logistics, and drug discovery
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present findings at global quantum conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
- Drive open-source quantum computing projects to accelerate industry adoption
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Proven expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Quil)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing journals
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error mitigation strategies
- Experience with high-performance computing architectures and parallel programming
- Strong Python/C++ skills with quantum algorithm implementation experience
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into business applications
