Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for near-term quantum processors (2026 roadmap)
- Design and execute experiments on superconducting qubit systems
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum machine learning models
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure and manage federal/private quantum computing grants
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-functional innovation
- Contribute to quantum cybersecurity protocols for 2026 deployment
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (post-doc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum hardware (IBM, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing venues
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
