Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex problem-solving
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on quantum-classical hybrid solutions
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier scientific journals
- Secure federal and private research grants for quantum initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related quantum field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming experience (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum algorithms
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error mitigation
- Expertise in at least one classical high-performance computing framework
- Strong analytical skills with complex mathematical modeling
- Experience with quantum hardware integration (IBM, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Track record of securing research funding or patents
