Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum communication networks with < 1ms latency across distributed quantum processors
- Architect hybrid classical-quantum computing systems leveraging error-corrected qubits
- Implement quantum-safe encryption protocols for post-quantum cryptography transitions
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing fault-tolerant quantum memory architectures
- Optimize quantum annealing solutions for complex logistics and optimization challenges
- Develop quantum machine learning pipelines for autonomous system training
- Ensure compliance with NIST quantum security standards and international quantum treaties
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface codes, color codes)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped ion, photonic)
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters and low-latency networking
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Security clearance eligibility for DoD quantum initiatives
