Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures supporting 1,000+ qubit operations
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical integration frameworks for enterprise applications
- Implement quantum-secure communication protocols using quantum key distribution
- Lead cross-functional teams in deploying quantum hardware at data centers
- Optimize quantum algorithms for pharmaceutical discovery and materials modeling
- Create fault-tolerant quantum error correction systems with 99.99% fidelity
- Develop quantum cloud infrastructure APIs for developer ecosystem
- Establish quantum security standards for federal compliance (NIST IR 8100)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing infrastructure or supercomputing architecture
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC)
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and superconducting qubit systems
- Deep understanding of quantum machine learning algorithms
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum computing topics
- Security clearance for DoD quantum projects preferred
