Responsibilities
- Gameplay Engineering: Design and implement complex 2D game mechanics, physics systems, and logic using C# and the Unity Engine.
- UI/UX Implementation: Build pixel-perfect, responsive User Interfaces and HUDs that provide clear feedback to players.
- Performance Optimization: Profile and optimize rendering pipelines to maintain high frame rates and smooth frame pacing on mobile devices.
- Asset Integration: Collaborate with artists to integrate 2D sprites, animations, and audio assets seamlessly into the game engine.
- Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to SOLID principles and agile methodologies.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to architectural decisions.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in 2D game development, specifically using Unity Engine.
- Programming: Proficiency in C# and a strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Tools: Familiarity with version control systems (Git), build pipelines, and debuggers.
- Mathematics: Strong grasp of vector math, collision detection, and linear algebra.
- Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing shipped games or high-fidelity prototypes demonstrating your 2D development skills.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
