Apex Visual Systems is seeking a highly skilled Senior 2D Interactive Developer to lead our creative engineering division. We are looking for a visionary engineer who can bridge the gap between artistic design and technical implementation, creating immersive 2D web experiences that define the future of digital interaction.
In this role, you will own the technical architecture for our 2D graphics engine, optimizing rendering performance and pushing the limits of what is possible in the browser. You will collaborate with world-class designers to translate complex ideas into fluid, responsive, and pixel-perfect visualizations.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance 2D rendering engines using HTML5 Canvas, SVG, and WebGL.
- Optimize rendering pipelines to ensure 60fps animations and low-latency interactions across all devices.
- Develop complex data visualization tools using D3.js, PixiJS, or custom libraries.
- Create and maintain a robust library of reusable 2D animation components and utilities.
- Conduct rigorous code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior developers.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in front-end development with a strong focus on 2D graphics and animations.
- Expert knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), Canvas API, and WebGL.
- Proficiency in linear algebra and physics simulations for interactive motion.
- Experience with responsive design patterns and cross-browser compatibility.
- Strong understanding of performance profiling and memory management.
