Apex Creative Systems is seeking a visionary Senior 2D Web Developer to lead the visual revolution of our digital products. We are building the future of interactive design and need an expert who can blend art with code to create stunning, performant 2D experiences.
In this role, you will collaborate with UX researchers and product managers to transform complex data into intuitive, engaging 2D visualizations and interfaces. You will be responsible for pushing the boundaries of what is possible in a browser using modern web technologies.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement high-performance 2D interactive graphics using HTML5 Canvas, SVG, and WebGL.
- Design and maintain scalable CSS architecture to ensure pixel-perfect visual consistency across all devices.
- Create complex 2D animations and transitions that enhance user engagement and storytelling.
- Optimize rendering performance to ensure smooth 60fps experiences on low-end devices.
- Collaborate with backend teams to integrate 2D visualizations with real-time data streams.
- Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in web development with a specific focus on 2D graphics.
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and modern CSS (Sass/Less).
- Strong understanding of the Canvas API, SVG manipulation, and requestAnimationFrame.
- Experience with animation libraries (GSAP, Anime.js) and game engines (Phaser, PixiJS).
- Experience with responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility testing.
- Portfolio demonstrating 2D interactive projects is required.
