Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable AWS/GCP infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Lead containerization initiatives with Docker and Kubernetes for microservices deployment
- Optimize cloud spend through monitoring tools (Datadog/CloudWatch) and architecture improvements
- Automate CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline
- Collaborate with DevOps and security teams to implement compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA)
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct peer code reviews
- Document architecture decisions and create runbooks for incident response
Qualifications
- 5+ years of cloud engineering experience with AWS/GCP certification
- Expertise in at least one programming language (Python, Go, or Java)
- Proven track record designing multi-region, high-availability systems
- Familiarity with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and configuration management
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure monitoring
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
