Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from the Security Operations Center (SOC) for potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and penetration testing.
- Develop, implement, and enforce robust security policies and procedures aligned with NIST standards.
- Lead incident response efforts and coordinate recovery strategies during cybersecurity breaches.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Provide advanced security training and awareness programs to staff members.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity or information assurance.
- Certification: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH is highly required.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and intrusion detection systems.
- Proven experience working with federal compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA, DIACAP).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
