Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap, anticipating market shifts and emerging trends
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in AI, quantum computing, and biotechnology convergence
- Present strategic foresight reports to executive leadership and board members quarterly
- Build and manage an ecosystem of academic, industry, and government innovation partners
- Oversee the incubation of at least 3 breakthrough technologies annually
- Advise product teams on future-proofing solutions against disruptive threats
- Represent the company at global tech summits and futurist forums
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, R&D leadership, or innovation consulting
- Proven track record of launching market-defining technologies or products
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI/ML, quantum, neurotech, etc.)
- Exceptional analytical skills with data-driven trend prediction capabilities
- PhD or equivalent in Technology Forecasting, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Experience managing multi-million dollar innovation budgets
- Strong network with VCs, academic institutions, and Fortune 500 innovation labs
