Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing and prototyping futuristic technologies (quantum AI, bio-integrated systems, autonomous infrastructure)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging trends and paradigm shifts in global tech landscapes
- Architect scalable solutions for 2026+ challenges including climate resilience, human augmentation, and interstellar communication
- Present strategic roadmaps to C-suite executives and venture partners securing $50M+ in R&D funding
- Mentor junior researchers while publishing breakthrough papers in Nature and IEEE journals
- Collaborate with UN Technology Task Force on ethical frameworks for 2026 AI governance
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Quantum Computing, AI Ethics, or Emerging Technologies (or 12+ years equivalent experience)
- Proven track record shipping at least two paradigm-shifting tech products (e.g., quantum algorithms, AGI systems)
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, ACM) on future-tech implications
- Expertise in at least three emerging domains: neuromorphic computing, synthetic biology, or space tech
- Experience securing federal grants (DARPA, NSF) or corporate R&D budgets >$20M
- Deep understanding of 2026 technological inflection points and regulatory landscapes
- Portfolio demonstrating 5+ years of strategic technology foresight work with Fortune 500 clients
