Responsibilities
- Tier 3 Technical Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and network issues for employees across multiple locations.
- Infrastructure Management: Monitor and maintain the local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and server infrastructure to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Asset Management: Oversee the inventory, deployment, and lifecycle management of IT assets, including laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Security Administration: Implement and enforce IT security policies, conduct vulnerability assessments, and manage access controls to protect sensitive data.
- Project Implementation: Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects, including software migrations, system upgrades, and hardware refreshes.
- User Training: Conduct training sessions and create documentation to empower staff with the knowledge to utilize technology effectively.
- Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with external vendors for hardware procurement and third-party maintenance services.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical training experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar technical role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Cisco networking hardware is highly desirable.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues and implement effective solutions under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- certifications: CompTIA Network+, Security+, or CCNA certification is a plus.
