Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in ER/ICU units using evidence-based practices
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document electronic health records
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on treatment plans
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and JCAHO standards
- Respond to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention
Qualifications
- Active CA RN license (or compact state license)
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred
- Minimum 3 years acute care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Experience with Epic EMR system
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends
