Responsibilities
- Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies to increase organic traffic and search engine rankings.
- Technical SEO: Conduct deep-dive technical audits to identify and fix issues that hinder search engine crawling and indexing.
- Content Optimization: Collaborate with content teams to optimize on-page elements, meta tags, and headings for target keywords.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) using Google Analytics and Search Console; generate monthly performance reports.
- Link Building: Execute white-hat link building campaigns to improve domain authority and referral traffic.
- Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor strategies and market trends to stay ahead of the curve.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in SEO, preferably in a full-service digital agency or in-house role.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; familiarity with web development tools.
- Tools: Proficient in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Moz.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex data to stakeholders.
- License: Valid driver’s license (for occasional client meetings in the DC area).
