Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive qualified traffic.
- Technical SEO: Conduct in-depth technical audits and implement solutions to enhance site architecture, speed, and crawlability.
- Content Optimization: Collaborate with content teams to optimize web copy, meta tags, and headers for maximum keyword relevance and user intent.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) using tools like Google Analytics and Search Console; provide monthly performance reports to stakeholders.
- Link Building: Lead off-page SEO efforts to build high-authority backlinks and improve domain authority.
- Competitor Analysis: Analyze competitor strategies and market trends to identify new opportunities for growth.
Qualifications
- Experience: 4+ years of proven experience in SEO, preferably within the New York or national market.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a strong plus.
- Tools: Expert knowledge of SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, or Screaming Frog.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical teams.
- Flexibility: Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a start-up environment.
