Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud-native microservices using Java/Spring Boot
- Mentor 3+ junior engineers through pair programming and code reviews
- Lead CI/CD pipeline optimization and Kubernetes deployments
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical specs
- Contribute 10% of time to open-source projects and tech community events
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging across AWS/Azure environments
- Present quarterly architecture improvements to leadership
Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience with Java and Python
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Proven track record of mentoring developers and leading technical projects
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and event-driven architecture
- Active participation in Detroit tech meetups or conferences
- Experience with fintech security standards (PCI-DSS, SOX)
