Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor cross-functional Agile/Scrum teams to deliver high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and senior management.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies to ensure business continuity.
- Manage resource allocation and coordinate with internal departments to support project needs.
- Prepare detailed project reports, status updates, and presentations for executive stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication between technical teams, clients, and non-technical staff.
- Drive process improvements and advocate for the adoption of modern project management methodologies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Project Manager in the IT or Software Development sector.
- Strong proficiency in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Expert knowledge of project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Trello, or MS Project.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Administration (Master’s preferred).
- Experience managing projects in the Chicago or broader Illinois area is a plus.
