Join New Orleans' most exciting summer adventure! Big Easy Youth Adventures is seeking energetic teens aged 16-18 to inspire young explorers through outdoor activities, arts, and cultural education. Gain leadership skills, build your resume, and make unforgettable memories in the heart of the city. Flexible shifts available June-August with no weekends required!
Responsibilities
- Lead groups of 8-12 children in age-appropriate outdoor games and educational activities
- Facilitate arts & crafts workshops highlighting New Orleans' unique culture
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all field trips and park visits
- Assist with daily camp setup, cleanup, and inventory management
- Mentor junior campers and model positive behavior
- Communicate effectively with parents and camp directors
Qualifications
- Must be 16-18 years old and a current high school student
- Strong swimming skills (lifeguard certification a plus)
- Experience working with children through volunteering, babysitting, or school clubs
- Ability to work outdoors in Louisiana heat and humidity
- Valid Louisiana work permit required
- Reliable transportation to Frenchmen Street location
- Basic first aid/CPR certification preferred
