Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including vital sign checks, injections, and wound dressing
- Assist physicians with examinations and medical procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Administer medications and perform lab tests as directed
- Schedule appointments and maintain patient flow in busy clinical settings
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment to maintain safety standards
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Tennessee state license in good standing
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
