Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and stabilize emergency patients using advanced triage protocols
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions per physician orders
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems with precision and timeliness
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and hospital safety protocols
- Participate in trauma activations and code blue resuscitation efforts
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia (or compact state license)
- Minimum 2 years Emergency Department experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or obtain within 30 days)
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with relevant experience considered)
- Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-stress, fast-paced environments
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
