As a Medical Assistant, you'll be the backbone of our patient care operations, working alongside top-tier physicians and specialists. This urgent opening requires immediate availability to serve our growing patient base in the Greater Houston area.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Perform basic lab tests and specimen processing
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient care workflows
- Assist with patient education on treatment plans
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or Athena preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
