Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing cargo.
- Inventory Management: Accurately scan and track incoming and outgoing inventory using handheld scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Picking & Packing: Fulfill customer orders by picking items from shelves, verifying quantities, and packing them securely for shipment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts and other material handling equipment, reporting any issues immediately.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping, mopping, and organizing storage aisles.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to prevent accidents and ensure a secure workplace.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or retail is preferred but not required; we provide on-the-job training.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Equipment: Current forklift certification is a plus, but we will train qualified candidates.
- License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Reliability: Strong commitment to attendance and punctuality; ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime and weekends.
- Communication: Basic computer literacy and ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
